Tim. He said, "Where's my frickin flower" so I gave him today's. He said, "Sweet man. Awesome." He tried placing it on the wall of his cube, but just laid it on his desk and said, "That's cool." Then he said, "Sorry I had to ask for my flower."

Later he said, "My day's complete now that I have that flower. My life is complete"

Leigh-Anne. She asked what the date was as we were walking to get coffee. Since the flowers have the date on the back, I pulled out the flower to check. She said that today's flower was prettier than the one I had given her. On the way back from coffee she said, "I really want that flower." She asked if there was a rule against having duplicates, I said, "No" and I gave it to her. She said, "Yaaaay!" and "It is really pretty!".

People really liked the black flowers. This was the last black flower.

Leigh-Anne emailed me: "So, I looked at the original flower you gave me and it is dated May 30th…so it was 5 months ago…but even better you gave it to me on my second day with the company…smooth!"

Ha. I am smooth.

Rowan. He is in love with his iPhone and he wanted an "iFlower". I rebelled against this idea, but he is a friend and he really wanted it so I wrote "iFlower" on the back along with the date. He said, "Oh, it is different.", pointing at the flower and tracing the stem with his finger, "It is a little curvy." He got up from his desk and said, "I have to show Nancy." He said something about how Nancy had a regular, boring flower, but he had an iFlower.

Nancy. Yesterday she and Rowan fussed at me for not giving one to them. When I gave the flower to Nancy she said, "You did not have to give me one because I asked." She thanked me and asked why I gave them out. She said, "Aww. We forced you to do it. Isn't that sad."

Corey. He already has two and he wanted a third badly. He explained that he takes them up North and he is the only one doing that. He was happy and said that we were dating now. I wonder what his wife thinks about that. He suggested the idea of there being a foundation in the future where painted flowers are given away. I told him about Jamie's party idea. He liked that.

Robin. She said, "Yay! That is awesome!" and she gave me a hug. Today is her last day here at work. August 10th, 2007! Remember that now!

Jeff. He said, "Wow!" I think he said, "Very nice." Then he said that it needed a Velcro back so he could stick it somewhere.

Sharon. Her co-worker has two(!) flowers and she told me that she would like one also. I told her I would mail her one and she said I made her day. However, I kept putting it off, but yesterday I found this envelope and it seemed perfect for mailing her flower.

Sharon emailed, "Aww, I’m honored! I’ll be checking the mail every day. :) Thanks."

Graham. He was giving out cookies so I gave him a flower. He said, "Hey!!!" and asked me what it was. He thanked me for it.

Leann. She is new to the company. She did not acknowledge it at first and then she asked, "Did you just give me a flower?". "Did you make it or just find it on the ground?". I explained and she said, "Why, thank you."

Vasko. Yesterday, we talked about my giving away flowers and he did not know I was doing this. I gave him the flower and, with a smile and sarcasm, he said, "Ahhh!! My flower! Thank you. I feel blessed!". This was the last green flower. Kind of sad, huh? They were good looking flowers.

Woman in billing. She made an expression that suggested, "What a relief!". She said, "Thank you so much!"

I found out about an hour later that I had already given her a flower! A duplicate! This disappointed me greatly, I am not even sure why.

Monica. She is a contractor where I work and I have seen her twice in the past two days getting tea while I get coffee. She asked if it was on canvas and if it was oil. I told her it was acrylic. She noted the date. She liked it.

Laura. She has been wanting a flower for a while. She said, "I get my flower now! Thank you!" She said that red and green are her favorite colors and that she likes the flower alot.

Kristin. We chatting and she said, "Well, I guess I am never going to get a flower." She rolled her eyes and made a big deal of it. I think I told her that today was her lucky day and I gave her the flower. She said, "Thank you. That is awesome!" She liked the green background and said, "Thank you very much."

Ville'. She said, "Thank you very much." I am lazy and I give too many to co-workers. Perhaps I should take a break from co-workers for a week or so.

Sharethra (sp?). She is new to the company and I told her all new employees get a flower. She said, "Thank you very much". She said something else, but I forget what it was.
