Woman Walking Down Hilliard Street. She said, "Don't try to sell me anything." She took the flower and said, "Give me a cigarette honey." She read the date and thanked me. I rode away and a man a few yards down asked if I was giving away five dollars a day. I said, "No, a flower a day." He thought $5 would be pretty nice. His friend said, "Look what I have!" and pulled a small bottle of Seagram's Gin out of a bag. I was confused and I said, "What's that?" He said, "Liquor! I have twelve of them! Three dollars each." I told him I did not have any money. He said, "Well, go to the tilly and get some money and come back. I'll be here." I was tempted, but I didn't.
I thought it was interesting that he told me to go to the "tilly". When I was a kid, one of the first ATM's was called Tilly. My mother used to say, "I need to bang Tilly" when she needed some money. I wonder if he was calling the ATM "Tilly", if he was referring to the bank in general or to something else.

Counter Man at Joe's Coffee. He thanked me and said something like, "Aahw". He laughed a little.
You know, "Aww" is a common response, but the inflection is aways different. The Vietnamese language uses tones to impart different meanings on words. The English language needs something like that. This guy did a falling tone which seemed to suggest he found it interesting. Many women do a rising tone which suggests that they are touched or they think the action was very sweet. I was talking with a friend and he was telling me about about a shouting match he got into with some Buckhead Boys where they only said, "Fuck you" to each other. They went on for a minute or two and the meaning of "Fuck you" changed as they continued. Now, just think how helpful it would be if we had little special characters that would help noodle out these different meanings if we were to read a transcript of the encounter.
Man One: Fuck You!
Man Two: Fuck You‘!
Man One: Fu†ck You!
Man Two: Fu‡ck You!
Man One: Fu†ck Yo‡u!
Man Two: →Fuck You!
Man One: Fuck ¹ You!

Man One: Meet me down at the pub.
Man Two: I'm buying!
That would be very helpful indeed!
Man Two: ¿Fuck You¿!

I lost my flower again!! What is going on? Two days in a row! This time I went home and got another flower. So...
The Cashier Woman at CVS. I think she was a transvestite. She said thanks but she seemed very guarded. She looked at the flower for a very long time.

Erika. She said, "Thanks man!" and she asked if I had piles of them sitting at home. I explained I made about 60 at a time. She asked if they were all the same color. No, some have a black background and some have a white background. I have not given away any black background ones away yet. She got one with a green background.

Kristen. I made a kind of scavenger hunt with clues that she had to follow to find the flower. She emailed me,
"the package has been delivered. the eagle has landed as of about 3pm today. it was a long and arduous journey, but in the end i was victorious.
"it was by far, the most fun i have had in a long time. i told jamie that it should be turned into a sport. lol. thank you for creating the experience for me and of course, thank you for my beautiful flower.
"kristen"
Very fun!
Two flowers were given today! I 'planted' this flower on the 14th. It was dated the 15th and she found it on the 16th. Since it was dated the 15th, that will be the post day.

Woman Waiting In Line With Me At The License Renewal Place. She loved it. She said all kinds of things! "You're awesome." "Thank you hubby to be." She asked the guy behind me if he was jealous that she and I were getting married. She said she liked green because it was the color of life. She sang Happy Birthday to me (today is my birthday!). I mean, she went on and on. It was great. I saw her outside as I was leaving and I said goodbye. She said, "You're fantastic! See you on our wedding day!"
